Solo Leveling is a South Korean web novel written by Chugong, which was first serialized on KakaoPage, an advanced comic and fiction platform owned by Kakao, on July 25, 2016. It was later published by D&C Media under their Papyrus imprint on November 4, 2016. The novel has gained worldwide popularity and has been translated into English by Yen Press and Web-novel, titled Only I Level Up.
Redice Studio's CEO Jang-Sung-Rak outlined the webtoon adaptation of Solo Leveling, which was first serialized on KakaoPage on March 4, 2018. The webtoon's memorable first season concluded on March 19, 2020, with subsequent seasons continuing serialization on August 1, 2020. D&C Media has compiled the webtoon's individual parts into four volumes, as of July 2022.
