Has the Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun anime adaptation been renewed for season 4 and when could the series potentially release?

The 2023 Winter anime broadcasting slate has been dominated by sequels, including Bandai Namco Pictures’ popular Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun series.

Season 3 came to an emotional ending last week but as soon as the credits had finished rolling, fans began pondering the future of Iruma Suzuki.

WELCOME TO DEMON SCHOOL IRUMA-KUN SEASON 4 EXPLORED

As previously noted, Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun season 4 remains TBA; however, all of the signs are there that the anime will be renewed by Bandai Namco Pictures and NHK.

The first point of call is that the Iruma-kun anime adaptation has plenty of source material from the original manga left to adapt; which is often the biggest factor in series’ renewals.

Season 3 episode 21 covered roughly up until volume 17 chapter 146 of the original manga, which marked the conclusion of the Post-Harvest Festival Arc. The next story arc is called the ‘Soi Purson Arc’ with the series’ Fandom page sharing the following preview:

“With the Music Festival coming up as another opportunity to increase the Abnormal Class’ ranking, they carefully decide who to stand out for the show! However, little did they know there was a 13th student in the class that also needed to stand out. But, due to his nature, he could not! Will they succeed in getting their classmate to participate… or dissipate?”

The good news is that, as of March 2023, a grand total of 31 complete Tankobon volumes have been published in Japan – meaning we could see up to six anime seasons of the Welcome to Demon School anime!

Then we have the season 3 episode 21 post-credit scene, which didn’t outright confirm that season 4 was on the way – but certainly hinted that the adventure would continue:

“After the Harvest Festival, Iruma and Lead were successfully promoted to Dalet. But, unless the rest of their classmates all reach rank Dalet, they’ll all be kicked out of the Royal One. Iruma and the others are about to take on the final rank-advancement exam for first-years…The Music Festival!”

The next story of the arc is called “Soi Purson Arc,” which is the fans favorite arc and everyone is looking forward to see how the animation adaptation of the arc turned out.

The post credit scene of Season 3 which although didn’t confirmed that renewal of season 4 but it certainly hinted that the next adventure will continue.
